Cock Robin Wood update

The wood is greening up nicely.  The newly laid hedge has survived our attentions. There are several good carpets of violets this year and a few primroses.  Main attraction is that after two years since seeding, we have a small area of cowslips at last. It will be interesting to see if anything else pops up over the next couple of months. We need to start this years plant list.

The small pond is looking very swampy – over hanging willow cut back and the path between the ponds has been opened up a bit.  Lots of toad activity a couple of weeks ago so hopefully there will be some taddies in due course – if the fish don’t get ’em. People still insist on throwing their dogs in so its amazing anything survives!!!
