The usual volunteers were out again this Sunday, clearing areas along the cutting between Ashlawn & Pytchley road bridges. The idea is to have small patches of meadow which are in a sunny spot. This is to provide a corridor for some invertebrates, for instance butterflies, to travel along in search of food.
Malcolm & Ken were clearing trees and branches on the west to allow in more light, while the others were brush cutting, raking & removing the brash to give meadow species a chance to thrive.
Why not come a join us on one of our other work days?
